8th March 2014 was a dark and bitter moment for Malaysians and the whole world as Malaysian Airlines MH370 went missing without a single trace. Today is the 5th day and still no signs of wrecks nor any form of communication that was established between DCA and MH370. Some speculate that the plane might have been hijacked due to 2 passengers whom boarded the flight with stolen passports which previously belonged to an Italian and Austrian. To make matters worse, both the stolen passport were updated into Interpol's database which was never utilized by local authorities.
Both the illegal passengers came from Iran in search of a new home using KLIA as a transit to Beijing before departing to their intended destination. Some even speculate that the flight suffered from mechanical failure and dis-integrated mid air which is something scary. Just imagine space shuttle Columbia disaster whereby it exploded sky high dis-integrating everything and everyone onboard within seconds. Some fear that the particular incident took place but should a plane dis-integrate mid-air,where did the fragments and bodies passengers onboard went?
The plane was topped up with at least 8 hours worth of aviation fuel and the estimated amount of fuel needed from KLIA to beijing is at least 7.5 hours. The plane went missing with 2 hours worth of fuel consumed leaving it with a remainder of 6 hours of aviation fuel. By today, the ship must have landed somewhere around South East Asia as it might be only running on fumes and hope on Saturday itself. The amount of fuel is not enough nor possible for a Boeing 777 to travel out of South East Asia which means it might have landed somewhere between Vietnam and it's neighbouring country.
The plane was reported to have turned back. Turning back to it's point of origin means there was an emergency situation onboard such as someone being sick or mechanical problems. If ever the plane was hijacked, why should it turn back to Malaysia? Makes sense right? So,this means that the plane did suffered from some sort of mechanical problem eventhough it was sent out for routine maintenance 12 days before disaster. The same plane was reported to have struck another plane and broke it's wingtip which was then repaired by Boeing and certified to fly.
As far as we all can, lets pray for them. Let's hope the officials could somehow untangle this mystery and find everyone back alive :) Should an opposite event take place, let's pray for their soul to rest in peace. God bless them and everyone aiding for MH370's search and rescue.
*Just a piece of my mind:
Was watching Escape Plan by Slyvester Stallone and Schwarzenegger few days back. The story of the movie is simple, Stallone infiltrates every prison in the United States and attempts to break out of it.Should he break out,he then approaches the prison warden and explains to him the lacks that the prison possess which eased in him breaking free and running for his life. See,simple movie logic can be practised in real life too. The authorities of Malaysia can take this as a lesson and employ undercover agents to infiltrate and produce a report out of the task to make sure level of readiness among Malaysian's airport security are high and dependable and to avoid another possible event of security breach and passengers boarding the plane with stolen passport.
*Also,to tourist heading to Phuket, make sure your passports are placed in a safe place such as the vault in the hotel instead of you carrying it around. This is what happens when forged documents are easy to come by
